These terms cover your use of Langcap and any purchase you make through this site. By buying or using Langcap, you agree to them.
Who we are
Langcap is operated by Heartwood Studio ("we", "us"), registered in the Republic of Korea as DEC. You can reach us at [email protected].
The product
Langcap is a desktop language-learning application. It is in active development; the Windows beta is forthcoming, with other platforms and languages planned over time. Features, supported languages, and availability may change as we build it. Nothing on this site is a guarantee that a particular language or feature will ship by a particular date.
Purchases and payment
Orders are sold and processed by Paddle, our authorized reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the payment, billing, and any applicable taxes, and your purchase is also subject to Paddle's buyer terms. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
What you get
A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to install and use Langcap. A one-time purchase includes the version available at the time of purchase plus the first year of updates; continued updates after that are an optional paid renewal. The app keeps working whether or not you renew. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app.
Pre-orders
A pre-order reserves the founding price and your place in the beta for a product that has not yet been released. Pre-orders are refundable as described in our Refund Policy.
Beta software
Langcap is provided "as is", especially during beta. It may contain bugs and is offered without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to support the languages and features we describe, but we cannot guarantee any specific result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Langcap is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
Changes
We may update Langcap and these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
