Short version: the app keeps your content on your machine, payments are handled by our payment provider Paddle, and we email your license key to you.
The app is local-first
Langcap runs on your computer. Your media, the text it mines, your answers, and your progress stay on your device. The app does not upload them, and it does not phone home. Any optional AI model you point it at runs on your own hardware.
Your license email
When you buy Langcap, we send your license key to the email address from your order. That delivery is handled by Resend, our transactional email provider, which processes your email address only to send that message. We never sell or share it, and we don't add you to any marketing list.
Payments
When you buy or pre-order Langcap, the payment is handled by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle collects the billing details needed to process your order and charge your payment method, and acts as the data controller for that payment information — see Paddle's privacy policy. We receive only the limited order information we need to fulfill and support your purchase, such as your email, the product, and your country. We never see or store your full card details.
Analytics
The site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It is privacy-friendly: no cookies, no fingerprinting, and no cross-site tracking. It does not identify you.
